On Monday, June 18th at 5:30 pm join us for a quick tour of our website and all that we offer at your Heyworth Public Library. Learn how to select books and other materials for holds and interlibrary loan. We will also highlight our free links, databases, and give an overview of our free eBooks and audiobook online library. We will offer this again in July.
- Get caught reading this summer – send us a picture of you or your children reading Heyworth Public Library books this summer to hpldpictures@gmail.com! Pictures can also be dropped off at the library to be displayed. Let’s see how far our books travel this summer.
- Did you know that we have a continuous book sale in our Community Room? We accept donated materials to either add to our collection or be placed in our sale.
- We are still taking orders for the sale of the book: Gardner Randolph of Illinois by Jacquelyn Hanson. The book cost $20.50, and you may specify who you want the author to sign the book to.
READING is SO DELICIOUS! 2012

- Children age 3 – 6th grade June 4 – July 28th
- Last day to turn in reading logs July 28
- Prize pick up Aug 6-31
- Teens/adults 6th grade – Adult
- June 4 – June 30 and July 2 – July 31
- Read any book, magazine or listen to an audiobook and receive a ticket to place in a drawing for a prize of your choice during June and/or July. You may win a prize each month, but only one per month.

June 19: From Flowers to Honey Bees!; 10:30 a.m. Come learn about busy bees!
Geared for ages 3-7, but all are welcome to attend.
June 20: All ages’ movie afternoon; 1 p.m. Bring a friend and your own snack!
June 21: Honey Bee Alive!; 2 p.m. Program geared for 3-6th grades, families welcome.
Come learn about the life-cycle of honeybees, their products, and how they help us with Crosby Monk.
Toddler Time; 6 p.m. Thursday. Toddler time is designed for
children 18 mo. -35 months. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pop! Pink! Delicious!, It’s Story Time!; 6:30 p.m.
Story time for 3yr – 6 yr. olds. Families welcome!
June 22: Tween/Teen Movie; 1 p.m. Friday. Bring a friend and your own snack!
June 23: Heyworth Hunger Games; 11 a.m. Jr./Sr. high youth can join
a race to the finish… Fun, Games, and Activities!

Monthly Genealogy and Local History meeting
Wed., June 20 at 10 am. All are welcome to help preserve Randolph Township history. Come join us as we organize the historical records, collect materials, and begin an oral history project. If you have local history or genealogical items to donate please see Alice or Beth. You can view the current title holdings on our website under the Local History and Genealogy link.
Canine Reading Buddies Program
Do you have a reluctant reader or just have a student who would enjoy reading time with our reading therapy dog? Sign up today for a fifteen minute session to read to Sasha the Reading Dog. Sasha will visit the library every second Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. Call to reserve your spot today. Next Visit:
