It’s hot, so come visit your library where we have hot titles and cool temps. We offer movies on Wednesdays (Family Friendly) and Fridays (Tween/Teen) at 1 pm. We also offer a movie for the adult crowd on the first Monday of the month. July 2nd we will be showing a newly released title at 5:30 p.m. Check out the many programs going on throughout this summer. THANK you to our wonderful business partners/sponsors who have been busily donating MANY prizes.

July 4: The Library will be closed to celebrate Independence Day.
July 5: No reading programs
July 6: Movie; 1 p.m. Friday. Bring a friend and your own snack!
July 7: Heyworth Hunger Games; 11 a.m. Jr./Sr. High youth can join
a race to the finish… Fun, Games, and Activities!

New Programs added this summer:
Pen and Ink Drawing class: July 16 @ 6 pm in the Community Room. Provided by the McLean Co Art’s Center. There is a limited number that can sign up, so sign up early by calling the library: 473-2313 or stopping in. Ages 8 – Adult. This program is free of charge.
Free Puppet Show: Tue, July 17, 2pm – 3pm in the Community Room; Presented by The Heyworth Christian Church youth group
Monthly Genealogy and Local History meeting
Wed., July 18 at 10 am. All are welcome to help preserve Randolph Township history. Come join us as we organize the historical records, collect materials, and begin an oral history project. If you have local history or genealogical items to donate please see Alice or Beth. You can view the current title holdings on our website under the Local History and Genealogy link.
Canine Reading Buddies Program
Do you have a reluctant reader or just have a student who would enjoy reading time with our reading therapy dog? Sign up today for a fifteen minute session to read to Sasha the Reading Dog. Sasha will visit the library every second Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. Call to reserve your spot today. Next Visit:

New DVD Movie titles:
The Wizard of Oz (70th Ann. Ed.), Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (40th Ann. Ed.) and Extremely LOUD & Incredibly CLOSE are available this week. Our NEW DVD movies can be loaned for three nights for $1.00. All others are available for 7 nights for $1.00.
