Join us for our 3rd Annual Holiday Open House, December 11 from 3pm – 8pm.  Santa Claus will also be arriving around 6:30pm for little ones to visit with him.  Be sure to bring your cameras! We will provide hot drinks and a make & take craft. There will be specials all afternoon/evening in our book sale corner.  If you have newer books to donate, we would love to have them.  We will add them to our collection or sell them in the book sale.

LEGO Time!  12/18 @ 3:20pm; usually fourth – Tuesday of each month, but due to holidays we are moving this date up for Dec.

NEWLY ADDED: Couponing 101 12/18 @ 6:30pm; Bring your coupons to swap, learn about websites to help make the most of your shopping dollars, and learn how to become a secret shopper.

Canine Reading Buddies Program  Will BEGIN again in January!

The Scrapbooking Hour(s) 1/29 @ 5pm–8pm; Come and go as you need to, bring your own supplies/snacks, and meet with others who love to scrapbook.  We will meet EVERY last Tuesday of the Month.

Monday Evening Book Club  1/28 @ 6:30pm; The Fourth Monday of the Month; Join us as we read a wide selection of books and discuss what we liked and didn’t like.

Friday Afterschool Movies  Every Friday @ 3:20pm

The Society for Creative Destruction  1/5 @ 10am; Every first Saturday.

eBook INFO Night at Heyworth Public Library 1/7 @ 6:30pm; Would you like to learn how to use your eBook reader,tablet,or smartphone to access the library’s eBooks and audio books?  Join us for an overview of Overdrive.  Please sign up in the library so we know what devices you will be bringing.

More things you can do at your library:

• Drop off Box Tops labels and gently worn Hornet clothing to

support Heyworth Grade School.

• Drop off recently expired coupons for our military members over

seas.

• Recycle HP printer cartridges.

• Check out cake pans for FREE for 7 days.

• Use the library’s die-cut machine to make poster letters, shapes,

and holiday designs.  Just bring in your own construction paper.

• Look at Heyworth High School yearbooks.

• Donate newer, gently used books to our perpetual sale corner.

• Watch a movie every Friday after school at your library.

• Use our Microfiche reader to view back issues of the Heyworth Star

or Heyworth Natural Gas.

• Download eBooks or audio books from our Overdrive link from our

website or use the Overdrive App on Kindles, Nooks, or all Apple

products.

Men in Black 3, Hope Springs, and God’s Ears are available this week. Our NEW DVD movies can be loaned for three nights for $1.00. All others are available for 7 nights for $1.00.
