Are you tired of slush and looking toward spring thoughts? Join us at the library for a Ukrainian egg decorating class, also known as the art of Pysanky. Kara Lopez and Michelle Brucker will be offering a class on Pysanky at the library on March 11, at 6 pm to 8pm. All the supplies will be provided and free to the public. Class size is limited though to 10 and students must be 16 years or older. Please be sure to stop by the library to sign up. Examples of Kara and Michelle’s jewel-like eggs will be on display from March 8 – April 15.
The Winter READ is here! Read Undercover from February 1 through March 31 to be in a drawing for an exclusive Heyworth Public Library mug! Adults can get a Read Undercover game sheet. There are different genres and types of library material listed on the sheet in rows of four. You choose if you want to select books and materials from the game sheet across, up or down, diagonally, or all four corners. Record the four titles on your game sheet, and turn it in to be in the drawing. Children kindergarten through fifth grade can use a Read Undercover reading log, and for every four books read, they will be entered in our drawing for an exclusive Heyworth Library mug as well.
Federal and State tax forms have arrived in limited quantities. All forms and instructions can be found on State and Federal website links posted on the library’s website at heyworthlibrary.com.
