Join us in celebrating Alice Gray’s retirement on May 31st at the library.  We will have a reception during library hours Friday, May 31.  Note cards will be available to thank her for all her years of service to the Heyworth community.

Have Book – Will Travel:  Summer reading at Heyworth Public Library begins June 3 to read for prizes for all ages!  Students from ages 3 – 6th grade can read 10 books of their choice, using books checked out by the library. Teens and adults get a ticket for every magazine, audiobook, or book they checkout.  The tickets can then be placed in a drawing for a prize of their choice. For more information on programs you can attend, stop by the library or visit our website under the Programs Tab.

Friday Morning Movies June 7 – July 26 @ 10:30pm

Monday Evening Book Club 6/3 @ 6:30pm; (NOTICE DATE CHANGE FOR MAY due to library closure for Memorial Day.) The book selection is The Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

Monday Evening Book Club 6/24 @ 6:30pm; The 4th Monday of the Month; Join us as we read a wide selection of books and discuss what we liked and didn’t like.

  • June 6/24: Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire
  • July 7/22: Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik
  • Aug 8/26:  Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson

Couponing 101 6/10 (Mon) @ 6:30pm; Bring your coupons to swap, learn about websites to help make the most of your shopping dollars, and learn how to become a secret shopper.

SUMMER HOURS:  All hours remain the same EXCEPT on Tuesdays we will be open from 10-5 pm for the months of JUNE/JULY/AUGUST.

New DVD Movie titles:

Killing Them Softly and Parental Guidance are available this week. Our NEW DVD movies can be loaned for three nights for $1.00. All others are available for 7 nights for $1.00.
