Family Story Time is back again this fall on Thursday evenings from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. The focus is on preschool age children to come explore, participate in art, and enjoy stories; but the whole family is encouraged to participate in the evening’s activities. Mark your Thursday evenings from September 12 – October 24 and join us for fun times in the library’s Community Room with Family Story Time.
After-school movies will resume for the school year at 3:20 p.m. every Friday the library is open. Join us in the Community Room each week for a movie on our big screen with Bose surround sound. Bring your own snack, drink, and a friend! Due to our licensing agreement we cannot advertise the movies we will be showing, but you can visit the library and find out in advance what the movies will be.
After many requests this summer to purchase our summer reading prize Heyworth Public Library canvas totes – the tote bags ARE available for sale. The quality canvas tote is available for $12.00.
Heyworth Public Library will be taking part in the Big Library Read program. Library card holders will be able to borrow and enjoy eBook and audiobook versions of the Big Library Read book, “Nancy Clancy, Super Sleuth” by Jane O’Connor from September 16th through September 30th by visiting alliance.lib.overdrive.com. If you want instruction on how to use Overdrive, bring your device into the library and let our staff help you. Don’t forget to download your free music from Freegal as well. Ask how this service works during your next visit to the library.

Oct. 1: Sign up for our monthly Block Party! We have space for 15 children each month to come create, collaborate, and have fun with LEGOs! This is open to first through eighth graders.
