Weekly Newsletter ~ December 13, 2013

A Holiday Scavenger Hunt is available on our library website for those interested in earning some “jingle” for current fines. For the next 3 weeks, a quote from a classic Christmas story will appear somewhere on the library’s website through December 27. If you know the title of the movie or book that contains the quote, you can receive up to $5 off of any current overdue charges. See the home page of the website for more details.

At your holiday gatherings please consider saving Coca-Cola product bottle caps for the library.  We turn these into free prizes for our reading programs!  We have redeemed them for MP3 audio players, mini chess sets, and digital bookmarks to be used as prizes for this winter’s reading program.  We collect the caps all year long. It’s a great way to support your library and community and get double your money on a product you are already using!

The library is seeking experienced knitters to become mentors for a spring youth knitting program. If you know of a knitter, please pass this information on. We will provide training, all supplies, and lead the class as a group. The mentors provide the “hands” on training, one on one. Please talk to Beth Porter if you are interested. The Needle Arts Mentoring Program provides all the supplies for a program to be started.
