Blind Date with a Book advert Beth

LOVE is in the air at your Heyworth Public Library! We are providing a nurturing environment, building relationships, and promoting dating. Yes, during the month of February we will be hosting a “Blind Date with a Book” event in conjunction with our WINTER READ 2014. We have selected award winning, highly recommended favorite reads and have wrapped them in paper. You can choose to select a random book to check out and read. Return the “Rate Your Date” slip and you will be entered in a drawing for one of five Huck’s personal pizzas. Thank you to Huck’s for the donations! We aren’t arranging marriages, and not a dime has to be spent!  Just give a new book a try – you never know which new favorite author or genre you might fall in love with.

The WINTER READ 2014:  Stay Classy with the Classics is just around the corner. We will offer reading for prizes for all ages during the months of February and March. We have a bulletin board of suggested classic titles that you may or may not have read in school and newer titles based off of these classic stories. In March we will have lists of classic reads turned to movies with a new “Books to Movies” club starting in March. (See website for more info.) Stop in and see our reading and prize lists as we gear up for WINTER READ 2014.

Family Storytime is set to begin on February 6 – March 20th at 6:15 pm – 7 pm each Thursday evening.  So mark your calendars and bundle the kids for a great time of stories, music, and crafts.
