The WINTER READ 2014: Stay Classy with the Classics has begun. We will offer reading for prizes for all ages during the months of February and March. Stop in and see our list of prizes as we gear up for WINTER READ. Our Thursday evening children’s story time has also begun and will run through March 20. Join us from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. for family fun!
The “Blind Date with a Book” event is happening all of February. We have selected award winning, highly recommended favorite reads and wrapped them in paper. Patrons can then choose to select a random book to check out and read. We aren’t arranging marriages, and not a dime has to be spent! Just give a new book a try – you never know which new favorite author or genre you might fall in love with.
Debra Jeakins was the first to return a “Rate Your Date” on her first “Blind Date with a Book” selection. Debra loved it! The book, It Takes Balls by Josh Wolf, would not have been something Debra would have been interested in checking out from looking at the book’s cover she told us. However, she ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT, and highly recommends this read to others. She said it’s fast and funny. So what are you waiting for? Stop by and get yourself a “Blind Date with a Book” today!
