The Heyworth Public Library is once again joining downloadable eBook program The Big Library Read offered by Overdrive. We are featuring “Keys to the Kitchen” by Food Network star Aida Mollenkamp from February 17th through March 5th. During this reading period, Aida’s comprehensive reference guide to becoming a more accomplished, adventurous cook will be available as an eBook for every patron that wishes to read it—no holds, no waitlists.
By participating in the Big Library Read, you can join a global movement of passionate readers and library patrons who support the availability of eBooks and audiobooks at your local library. The WINTER READ 2014: Stay Classy with the Classic will continue through March. Stop in and see our list of prizes as we gear up for WINTER READ.

The “Blind Date with a Book” event has been very successful! Many of our patrons have expressed how much they have enjoyed the intrigue and surprise of selecting a “Blind Date”. We began with 60 books, and have added a few more this past weekend due to the demand. Just give a new book a try – you never know which new favorite author or genre you might fall in love with. LEGO Block Party, after-school program, First Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m.

Mar. 4: Sign up for our monthly Block Party! We have space for 15 children each month to come create, collaborate, and have fun with LEGOs! This is open to first through eighth graders.

The Society for Creative Destruction, after-school program, Third Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m.

Mar. 18: Join us as we explore the art of another type of journaling, snacks provided. Sign up is needed to have supplies ready.

Heyworth History Club, Fourth Friday mornings at 10 am. All are welcome to join us in collecting and preserving Randolph Township history.
