We Are So Much Larger Than Our Walls firstname.lastname@example.org
The WINTER READ 2014: Stay Classy with the Classics will continue through the end of March where we encourage all ages to read for prizes! We will also be kicking off our Reel Time/Real Talk programing for this March 10th at 6 pm with Holes by Louis Sachar. Come join the Heyworth Public Library for fun evenings of books and movies. Read the book, then come to the library to watch the movie. After each movie we will discuss which we thought was better. The book or the movie? This is an all ages program and would make a great family activity.
March is also Dr. Seuss’ birthday month (3/2). To help us celebrate his life and the love of reading, the General Federated Women’s Club of Heyworth have donated four Dr. Seuss books to be in a drawing at the Heyworth Public Library at the end of the month. For every book, magazine, or audiobook checked out a ticket will be given to be in the drawing for one of the four Dr. Seuss books of your choice. The drawing will be held on April 1st.
The “Blind Date with a Book” February event was a HUGE success. Fifty-two Blind Dates were checked out during the month of February. Don’t forget to return your “Rate Your Date” slips for a drawing to win one of four individual pizzas from Huck’s. Thank you to Huck’s for the donations! We had many people comment how fun this was with many thoroughly enjoying their surprise book. Blind Date with a Book will return next February!
