The Heyworth Public Library would like to recognize the following gifts and memorials made this summer. Michelle Kirby made a gift to the library to support summer reading. The Heyworth General Federation of Women’s Club purchased many books to add to our collection. The Mclean County Retired Teachers Association gave a gift to purchase children’s materials. The family of John Holforty and Kathy and Kerry Kidwell gave memorial donations in memory of John Holforty. John was an avid reader and enjoyed the library. Mary Johnson donated a handmade garden stepping stone in honor of her aunt Marilyn Butler, retired trustee of the Heyworth Library. Don Newby, Marilyn and Virgil Butler, and Cathy and Dennis Wentworth gave donations in Margaret Soice’s memory. Margaret was an active quilter and craft books have been purchased in her memory. We also can’t thank you enough to the numerous individuals who have donated crafts, paper product supplies, used books for the book sale, and Coke Product caps to support our programs.
The library greatly appreciates the gifts and memorials donated to the Heyworth Public Library. It is through these gifts and memorials that we can offer services and materials that go beyond the ordinary. For more information on gifts, memorials, or bequests, contact the director, Beth Porter, at 473-2313.
