Are You Ready For a Blind Date?

FFA Blind Date with a Book 2016 (2)

Peyton Ferguson, Lynn Reed, Anna Schultz, Erin Brown, and McKenna Gibson (not pictured) put their wrapping talents to work at the Heyworth Public Library this week as the library prepares for their Third Annual Blind Date with a Book event in February.

Heyworth High School FFA members volunteered at the Heyworth Public Library this week to help wrap up books for the Third Annual “Blind Date with a Book” event this February. We have selected award winning, highly recommended favorite reads, and some classics and wrapped them in paper. We have also added young adult (YA) materials this year. Come in this February and choose a wrapped up book as your “blind date”. Give it a read. Then fill out our “Rate Your Date” book mark and return it with the book. We aren’t arranging marriages, and not a dime has to be spent! Just give a new book a try – you never know which new favorite author or genre you might fall in love with.  All the “Rate Your Date” book marks returned will go in a drawing for two Heyworth Library Tote Bags. The last day to grab a Blind Date will be on February 29, but we won’t draw a winner until March 22 to allow those readers three weeks to get their dates read. (Note ending date corrections from Buzz 1/14/16.)
