December 28

Senior Citizen Assistance is available from Community Care Systems, Inc., Senior Information Systems Agency for McLean County. Senior citizen assistance will be at the Heyworth Public Library on Wednesday, December 28, from 10:00 a.m. – noon to assist people over the age of 60 and the disabled with Information and Assistance in filing for local, state, and federal programs.

Their main office is at 616 IAA Drive, Bloomington, IL 61701.  CCSI, Senior Information Systems Agency for Mclean County can be reached by calling 309-661-6400 or 1-888-322-5712.  Walk-ins accepted; no appointments necessary.

Time to Order Magazines

Heyworth Public Library circulates over 80 magazine titles that may be checked out for seven days. This year we are seeking donations to cover our magazine orders. If we can save money on our magazine orders, we will be able to spend that savings on more children’s materials.

We will have a list of all our magazines that we order for the library with our cost for each title in a folder at the circulation desk. If you would care to donate a title, you can provide the cost of the magazine and be the first to check out the magazine when it arrives. If you do not see a title on our list or in the library that you are interested in, you may donate a title to expand our collection as well.

Thank you to those who donate magazine titles they receive at their homes each month as well. All donations are appreciated.
