Libraries Rock|Summer Reading 2018

Summer Reading at Heyworth Public Library began June 1 for all ages. LIBRARIES
ROCK! 2018 will feature earth science-based programs, Pete the Cat, and so much more. All sign-ups for programming can be done by coming into the library or over the phone (473-2313). Space is limited for programs and wait lists will be formed. NEWLY ADDED! The Heyworth and Randolph Township Arts Council (HeART) has
approved a grant for three water color art classes to be conducted at the library this summer by the grade school art teacher, Mrs. Mary Duvenhage. Two of the three classes are still to be held:  Watercolor for ages 7 – 9, June 13, 10:30 am – 11:30 am (space limited to 20); Watercolor for ages 10 – 13, June 20, 10:30 am – 11:30 am (space limited to 20). Sign up begins June 1 in the library or by phone (473-2313).

Thank you to the family and friends of Carol Holloway and Barbara Steiling for making
memorial gifts in their names. We are so very grateful for these donations. These gifts help us make purchases beyond our budget that provide services and materials for our community.

Upcoming Programs:

June 1 – Summer Reading Begins! Person’s age 3 through 103 can read for prizes and
sign up for programming beginning on this date. See website or stop in for more
details.

June 5 – The library will switch to it’s summer Tuesday hours, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. through August. All other hours of operation remain the same.

June 7 –  Adult Book Club, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Join us for books, tea, and conversation! We will be discussing The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards.

June 13 –  Watercolor for ages 7 – 9, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (space limited to 20)

June 19 –  Tuesday Morning Summer Reading Programs begin, 10:30 a.m.

June 20 – Watercolor for ages 10 – 13, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (space limited to 20)

June 21 – Family Storytime Summer Reading Programs begin, 6:15 p.m. – 7 p.m.
