Friday Morning Coffee

The library’s Community Room is open on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. as a gathering place for seniors in our community.  You are invited to have a cup of coffee, visit with your neighbors, and even enjoy a game of dominoes or cards.

Upcoming Programs

Adventure Book Club for 4th – 8th graders meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m.  Books are available at the circulation desk for checkout. 

Arts and Crafts for children is offered on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m.  

Books, Tea, and Conversation is a book club for adults that meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.  Books are available at the circulation desk for checkout.

Friday Morning Coffee meets on Fridays at 10 a.m.  Enjoy a cup of coffee, some conversation, and even a game of dominoes or cards!  This program is designed for seniors in our community, but all adults are invited.

Little Bricks & Big Ideas, a Lego building group, meets with April Fisher, the Lego Lady, on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. during the school year.  Children, kindergarten – 6th grade, are invited to join us for an hour of creative building.

Senior Information and Assistance is provided by Community Care Systems of McLean County at the library on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. – noon.  They assist people over the age of 60 and those with special needs with filing for local, state, and federal programs. CCSI, Senior Information Systems Agency for McLean County, can also be reached by calling 309-661-6400.  Walk-ins are accepted. 

Summer Reading:  This year’s summer reading theme is Oceans of Possibilities.  Programs will begin June 9 and run through July 18.  Stay tuned for more details!
