Family Storytime meets tonight. Please sign up so we have enough supplies on hand. Also IF you are signed up we will begin using REMIND to send program reminders by text message or email instead of phone calls. Each family has to sign in to REMIND if they would prefer a text or email reminder. If you have a smartphone, get push notifications. On your iPhone or Android phone, open your web browser and go to the following link: rmd.at/hpld Follow the instructions to sign up for Remind. You’ll be prompted to download the mobile app. If you don’t have a smartphone, get text notifications. Text the message @hpld to the number 81010. If you’re having trouble with 81010, try texting @hpld to (913) 755-9042. * Standard text message rates apply. We will still phone call anyone who chooses not to use REMIND. 👌🏼
It’s still fall 🎃🎃🎃 mark your calendar for this treat at the library.
Have you picked up your copy of The Crucible by Arthur Miller? Ann is a direct descendant of two persons accused of being witches executed during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. She also had a third relative who was condemned but not hanged. One of these descendants was Rebecca Towne Nurse, a character in Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible. Join the Heyworth Public Library in reading The Crucible in October and hearing Ann's fascinating family study. Multiple copies will be available for checkout during October at the circulation desk.
Fall Animals y’all is the topic tonight at Family Storytime. Be sure to sign up as this program is popular and supplies are limited to 25.
