Affordable Care Act Information

Starting in October 2013, Americans who don’t have insurance can choose from quality, affordable health insurance plans in the Marketplace for coverage that begins in 2014.

The Marketplace:

  • Gives the uninsured more plan choices
  • Helps lower the costs of insurance for working families and small businesses

Official consumer sources of information:

The McLean County Health Department is our area agency partner to provide Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace guidance for those living in McLean County. The McLean County Health Department will provide education and consumer assistance designed to facilitate enrollment of county residents in the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace through the In-Person Counseling Program. One-on-one appointments can be made with counselors at the health department.
